Frequently Asked Questions

Visa & Entry

General guidance only — visa rules, fees and eligibility change by nationality and over time, so always confirm your own requirements before booking travel.

  • Do I need a visa?: Depending on your nationality, you'll either enter visa-free or need to arrange an e-Visa before you travel. Check your own eligibility on the official portal rather than relying on any third-party page, including this one.
  • Where do I apply?: The only official Turkish e-Visa site is evisa.gov.tr. If a site's address is anything else, don't enter your payment details there.
  • How far ahead should I apply?: Apply a few days before departure. Processing is usually fast, but don't leave it to the last minute in case of delays.
  • How long does my passport need to be valid?: Most travellers need at least 6 months of passport validity remaining beyond their entry date — check your own country's current guidance, since requirements vary.

Health & Insurance

This is general information, not medical advice. Always confirm current recommendations with your own doctor or your country's official travel-health service before you travel.

  • Do I need any vaccinations for Turkey?: No special vaccinations are required for entry. It's worth being up to date on routine vaccinations, and a tetanus booster is commonly recommended — check current guidance with your own doctor or national travel-health service.
  • Do I need travel insurance?: We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering medical treatment, emergency evacuation and trip cancellation for every tour. Check your booking confirmation for our current requirements.
  • What about altitude?: Cappadocia's valleys sit at roughly 1,000-1,300 metres, which can make the first day or two feel more strenuous than expected — pace yourself and tell your guide if you're not feeling well.

Getting to Cappadocia

How to reach us, in general terms — flight options and routes change, so compare current fares and schedules before booking.

  • What's the nearest airport?: Cappadocia is served by two regional airports: Nevşehir Kapadokya (NAV), about 40-50 minutes from Göreme, and Kayseri Erkilet (ASR), about 60-75 minutes away. Kayseri usually has more flight options; compare both before booking.
  • How do I get from the airport to Göreme?: Airport transfers, shuttles and rental cars are all available. Let us know your flight details when you book and we can help with transfer arrangements.
  • Where are you based?: İsali-Gaferli-Avcılar Mahallesi, Kuran Kursu Caddesi, No: 7 - Göreme / Merkez / Nevşehir / Türkiye.

Cappadocia Add-Ons

  • Can I combine cycling with a hot air balloon flight?: Yes — hot air balloon flights are a popular add-on, typically flown at sunrise, with the calmest and most reliable conditions in spring and autumn. Availability depends on the day's weather. Contact us and we can help arrange it alongside your cycling tour.

Booking & Payment

  • What's your cancellation policy?: Cancellation and refund terms are set out at the time of booking and included in your booking confirmation — contact us if you'd like to check them before you book.
  • How do I pay?: A deposit secures your booking, with the balance due before or at the start of your tour. Contact us for the current payment options.
